Inside the Season
From Tip-Off to Final Buzzer:
The Journey Through Our Season
Our youth basketball season runs from late October through the first week of March—a fun, fast-paced few months packed with development, teamwork, and competition.
Weekly Schedule
-
Monday Night Fundamentals Practice: All athletes from the program come together to work on core basketball skills—ball-handling, shooting, footwork, defense, and passing. These sessions build strong fundamentals and ensure every player continues to grow.
-
Team-Specific Practice (Weekly): Each team meets for its own dedicated practice during the week (day varies by team). This is where players learn plays, build team chemistry, and work on in-game strategies tailored to their age and competition level.

Meet the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors for UGJB plays a crucial role in fostering a positive, safe, and enriching environment for young athletes. As dedicated volunteers, the board members are responsible for overseeing the program’s operations, ensuring its success, and upholding the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
Our mission is to provide an organized and supportive basketball experience that promotes skill development, discipline, and respect for the game. Through effective leadership, collaboration, and community involvement, the board works to create a program that benefits all players, coaches, and families.
The board’s responsibilities include setting policies, managing league operations, organizing events, and ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all participants. By maintaining high standards of integrity and commitment, the board strives to create an inclusive program that instills life lessons both on and off the court.
